Chicken Soup for the Crock Pot!

Cold, snowy, winter days have you stuck in the house? This is the kind of weather when a nice piping hot bowl of fresh, hearty, and healthy soup can be a total mood changer! Nothing screams satisfaction like a steaming bowl of chicken soup. An added bonus? The crock pot will make the whole house smell like "home."

Again, super simple to make.....Check it out!

Ingredients:

48 ounces of chicken broth
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts--cut into bite-sized pieces
4 cups of water
2/3 c. diced onion
2/3 c. of diced celery
2/3 cup of diced carrots
2/3 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup frozen green peas
4 chicken bouillon cubes
1 Tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried marjoram
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2-1 whole bag of SMART TASTE or WHOLE WHEAT Egg noodles**
**More noodles will make the soup more like a stew. I recommend whole wheat or smart taste for more fiber content, added protein, and lower cholesterol

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT the noodles in a slow cooker
Cover and cook on LOW 5-7 hours, or on HIGH 3-4 hours. Add noodles 30 minutes before cooking, OR boil separately and add to soup upon serving.
